Welcome to AI Insurer Brief Issue #03!

Hey it’s Fabio here,

Wild week in AI again.

Allianz now has 7 agentic AIs “talking” to each other to speed up claims. McGill & Partners is using Google Earth + AI to forecast property damage before it happens. Interestingly, in the meantime Google just launched WeatherNext 2, an AI that can beat supercomputers at hurricane predictions… while being 8x faster.

Here’s what caught my eye this week 👇

⏩ INSURANCE AI SIGNALS

AON CLAIMS COPILOT

Designed to modernize claims management globally - it combines automation, advanced analytics, and Aon's claims advocacy expertise to enhance efficiency and transparency at every stage of the claims lifecycle. First rollout expected in Germany, before North America, Asia Pacific and EMEA in 2026 - will support 1800 claims professionals deliver faster resolutions and maximize recoveries - expected to reduce claims settlement time by up to 20%.

THE AI CHUBB STUDIO

This platform uses proprietary AI to analyze customer data in real-time and deliver highly personalized insurance offerings seamlessly at the point of sale. It helps Chubb's digital distribution partners increase conversion rates and customer engagement by ensuring the protection solutions fit with user needs. A fantastic shift in terms of how insurance is perceived - from a transactional product to a predictive, customized service fully baked into customers' everyday journeys.

McGill & Partners + GOOGLE EARTH AI

Broker McGill & Partners is leveraging Google Earth AI to enhance its understanding and pricing of global climate and CAT risks. By integrating Google's advanced geospatial AI models with massive satellite data, they can provide predictive analysis of property damage before a storm hits. A "game changer," enabling clients to make real-time risk decisions (i.e. insurer can recommend targeted pre-loss actions before the storm hits), accelerate claims payouts (from weeks to hours), and move beyond simple risk modeling toward proactive, data-driven disaster preparedness and recovery solutions for high-value clients.

AI AGENTS COLLABORATE

Allianz demonstrated the power of Agentic AI collaboration in Project Nemo, where seven specialized AI agents (e.g., Planner, Fraud, Coverage Agents) work together to process simple claims. By automating repetitive tasks and using a human-in-the-loop approach for final review, Allianz achieved an impressive 80% reduction in claim processing and settlement time—slashing resolution from days to mere hours for certain low-complexity claims. This successful deployment validates the multi-agent system as the next frontier in scaled claims efficiency.

🫸 The AI SCROLL STOP

  • Google's New "WeatherNext 2" AI Can Predict Hurricanes Better Than Supercomputers. Google DeepMind just released its new AI weather model. It delivers higher-resolution global forecasts eight times faster than the previous iteration and can more accurately predict tropical storm tracks up to three days out, outperforming traditional, multi-billion-dollar supercomputer methods.(DeepMind).

  • OpenAI Might Be Spending $15M Per Day Just to Generate Silly Viral Videos - this is due to millions of users using, Sora, the video generation tool, to generate short, often "imbecilic" viral clips. This highlights an absurd capital issue: where the world's most sophisticated AI infrastructure is used to produce content for high-volume, low-value consumption. (Forbes).

  • Synthetic Music Spreads: AI-Generated Album Hits Spotify Charts. An album created entirely without human composition hit major charts like Billboard and Spotify. A critical moment where AI music is being produced, and competitively entering and displacing human artists in high-volume commercial markets. (The Guardian)

  • Anthropic Warns of the "World's First Large-Scale Cyberattack Executed by AI." - seems a "highly sophisticated" espionage campaign linked to China. What's terrifying is that the attack was executed by an agentic AI with minimal human supervision (ia.acs)

Shoppers are adding to cart for the holidays

Over the next year, Roku predicts that 100% of the streaming audience will see ads. For growth marketers in 2026, CTV will remain an important “safe space” as AI creates widespread disruption in the search and social channels. Plus, easier access to self-serve CTV ad buying tools and targeting options will lead to a surge in locally-targeted streaming campaigns.

Read our guide to find out why growth marketers should make sure CTV is part of their 2026 media mix.
